The Office of Coroner in Choctaw County is an elected position for a four year term. The County Coroner is responsible for investigating deaths to determine cause and manner. The Coroner signs the death certificate and certifies the cause and manner of death.
Coroner Roderick Bumpers was elected to the position in 2022 after having been appointed earlier that year to fill the unexpired term of his late father, Rocky Bumpers.
